For example, you can find books with the history of the sport you would like to read about, or you could even find fiction books about sports and even poems about them. You can also find books about the history of clubs and teams, as well as books with tactics so that you can play your favorite sport in a better way or simply improve your playing style. There is one problem though if you try searching for books at a traditional physical bookstore. They will probably not have a section devoted to sports, but if they do, it could also be hard trying to find the right type of book according to the sport you would like to read about. A very good option and the best one probably, would be visiting sports books websites where you can find different categories. It is way easier to find what you are looking for here because you can search by sport or by type of book and so on. You can even find very old books that are hard to find and that are specially sold for collectors!

I got to admit, golf is not one of my biggest passions, I never think it would interest me at all; I mean it is a long game. Come on! 18 holes? You got to be kidding me! In the other hand, nothing, I mean nothing compares to Peter Allen. This guy has just travelled a lot. Sir Peter Allen, for family and royalty played during his golf career played most of the famous links and courses in the British Isles. He did also in America and other countries in the world. This time “40 years in fierce enjoyment of the game”, as he used to say, is reflected in one of his Sports books: Famous Fairways. In this classic work he describes 80 of his top course, 26 from America and seven other part of the world. The rest of them are of course in the British Isles. Since its publication in 1986 has been one obligated guide for most golfers as a challenge to reach what this fine gentleman did.
