So why not order him a new air gun rifle? There are many ways to try and convince him that the modern air gun is light years ahead of the old, slow pump action thing he had as a child, but hard evidence beats words. Go for something top of the line to really knock his socks off, or check out the sales pages to find an economical way to prove your point.

Either way, you’ll be working with something that will target his skepticism right where it counts. Speed will truly be a factor, as modern air gun rifle speeds are higher for both propelling action and reloading. In fact, you may want to get him one of the semiautomatic models so that he can appreciate being able to fire as many as 12 shots in immediate succession.

Check out the models with the blowback reloading, as that will also impress him. Power like that just didn’t exist in models from the 1960’s, nor did that kind of feature. He’ll be inspecting the gears, adjusting the sites, and finding himself on the losing end of the argument.

Of course, it’s a good argument to lose, especially if it ends with a brand new air gun rifle for both of you. Give your dad something he’ll be able to understand – give him a modern gun!
